Particle Shifts (2007)
Materials: variable gravel, sifted gravel, produce baskets, steel cables, 3-channel video
Dimensions: 5,000 square feet
A site-specific installation at the Darling Foundry, a post-industrial exhibition space in Montreal.
The long scale of the exhibition space allows for a shift in perspective in the viewer. A pile of gravel
at one end of the space transformed in scale at the other end when it was considered in relationship
to the constructed and extracted forms.
