Floods (2012)
Materials: acrylic house paint, two-part epoxy resin, cake decorations, plywood backing
Process: Several gallons of paint were poured into three large moulds at three different depths and left to dry completely. Different cracking and heaving patterns emerged depending on the depth of the paint. Multi-colored cake sprinkles were then settled into the recessed areas. Transparent glossy resin was poured over the decorations and it also worked to hold the whole cracked painting back together.
